3. Introductions
a. 22 persons in attendance
4. Lansing Police Department: 483-4600
Sgt. Koenigsknecht (his direct # 272-7488)a. Crime Map - a couple issues close to our neighborhood, but not in our actual area
i. Glasgow and Deerfield; a neighbor got a vehicle description that was unfamiliar three persons went to back yard and ran away after being seen.
ii. Sky Ave actually was a civil action.
iii. Tentant has broken into other apartments.
b. Call about unfamiliar and suspicious behavior as it is seen and do not until afterwards.
c. Catherine Street had unlocked cars riffled.
d. Report any vacant houses with un-expected lights on. There has been an increase of copper pipe theft from vacant/for sale homes.
e. Door-to-door salesmen should have a peddler’s license with the city. And please call dispatch (or Team 9) and inform them of description of the persons and/or vehicles.
i. It’s best not to let strangers into your house.
f. Please report any cars that have been in place for more than two days (on the street)
i. Car parked on Woodlawn is now gone.
ii. If you have an occasion to need to leave car overnight on the street, please call dispatch or the secretary (272-7449) at the South Precinct and let them know.

a. Current Balance is $305.62
b. No activity last month; donations are welcome
7. New Business
a. Neighborhood Garage Sale is scheduled for Father’s Day weekend, which would be June 19, 2010 – the same weekend we hold it every year
b. The Neighborhood Picnic is tentatively set for August 3rd on National Night Out, like last year’s event. It will be in the street on Hampden Drive, corners Woodview and Colonial Plaza, as it was last year.
c. March’s meeting is deferred.
d. Motion made, seconded and passed unanimously to donate L&L gift cards (two at $25 ea) to the Bea Christy Award Dinner to be held on February 19th, 2010.
8. Good and Welfare
a. Flu issue has fallen in severity.
b. Change in weather is hard on persons.
c. We have several new neighbors.
9. Code Compliance: Gregg Schrimger
a. Keep an eye on vacant houses.
i. There has been an increase in break-ins of unoccupied houses.
ii. People are dumping trash into red tagged properties.
iii. Inform Gregg of new vacant houses.
b. A house on Hampden has black trash bags that were left on porch, after the folks moved out.
c. 3200 block of West Mount Hope have several homes that are now foreclosed located by Grand Haven Manor.
i. One house has had its copper stolen.
d. Discount Dave has bought 31 houses recently, some near us on Mt. Hope Avenue.
